On April 25th, Huayan Robotics officially launched its 7-axis humanoid robotic arm series online. As a core execution component for embodied intelligence, this new product will play a key role in advancing Huayan Robotics' efforts to implement embodied intelligence and drive its industrialization, thanks to its exceptional performance, versatile applications, and fully open ecosystem.
Unmatched Performance, Comparable to "Human Arms"
Huayan Robotics has integrated both hardware and software capabilities, backed by over 20 years of core technology development in key components like high-performance motors, joint modules, and servo drivers. With deep expertise in high-end collaborative robots, Huayan Robotics introduces its 7-axis humanoid arm that rivals human arms in performance, offering superior sensitivity and responsiveness.
The arm’s unique integrated force-control joints and algorithms provide human-like tactile sensing and interaction. It boasts high-precision force control for all joints, with a force control accuracy of ≤0.02 N·m, a bandwidth of ≥100Hz, and an end-effector force accuracy of 0.1N. This means it can detect even the slightest force from two A4 sheets falling and respond with precision in just milliseconds.

Intelligence is at the heart of the 7-axis humanoid arm, which integrates a local AI server and natively supports ROS2. This allows decision-making to be pushed to the edge, enabling the arm to autonomously detect offsets, assess anomalies, and adjust its trajectory in real time. The native ROS2 support allows developers to create a "perception-decision-execution" feedback loop directly on the arm, transforming it from a mere tool to an intelligent partner.
The arm offers precision with an absolute positioning accuracy of <1mm and a repeatability of ±0.03mm, equivalent to a third of a human hair's diameter. This micro-level precision meets the stringent requirements for tasks like precision assembly. The entire arm features a high-rigidity aluminum alloy hybrid structure, self-developed high-torque motors, and a lightweight design weighing ≤12kg, delivering greater energy from a compact frame for stable operation across a range of humanoid or quadrupedal platforms.
The 7-axis humanoid arm replicates the flexibility and precision of the human arm, with two different wrist joint designs: the co-planar cross configuration (Echo series) and the spatial cross configuration (HY series). These configurations enable the arm to perform natural movements like obstacle avoidance, reorientation, and bending, making it ideal for complex tasks in tight spaces.
Additionally, the arm features a revolutionary “end-effector wiring system,” with a minimal cable passage diameter of 15mm. This allows it to carry a gigabit Ethernet cable, GMSL cable, power cable, and signal cables simultaneously without interference or tangling—effectively creating an "information highway" for end-effectors like dexterous hands and vision modules that can be plugged in and swapped out easily.

Deploying the 7-axis humanoid arm is simple: one controller can manage up to four arms working in coordination, saving space and effort. When running at full load and speed, the arm produces noise ≤50dB, quieter than normal conversation, making it perfect for environments that demand low noise, such as laboratories, hospitals, or quiet workshops.
A Product Line to Meet Diverse Needs
At the online launch event, Huayan Robotics also introduced three different load capacity models of the 7-axis humanoid arm under the Echo series (co-planar cross configuration) and HY series (spatial cross configuration). These arms cater to a wide range of applications, from precise operations to heavy-duty handling tasks:
• Echo 3 and HY 3 offer precision, force control, lightweight design, and low noise, with rated loads of 3kg and 3.5kg, respectively. These arms can be deployed on desktops or mobile robots, making them ideal for laboratory, commercial, and even home environments.
• Echo 5 and HY 7 achieve repeatability of ±0.03mm and rated loads of 5kg and 7kg, making them suitable for tasks like 3C product assembly and automotive component installation.
• Echo 15 and HY 15 have a rated load of 15kg, capable of handling tasks like machine tool loading/unloading, large assembly, and palletizing, making them ideal for use in most factories.

These models are now available for pre-order. Looking ahead, today's 7-axis arms may evolve into fully intelligent systems that can walk, see, hear, and speak. Huayan Robotics is accelerating its full-stack development of embodied intelligence technologies, bringing its product iterations ever closer to the vision of a "robotic partner."
Open Ecosystem for Collaborative Development
Huayan Robotics believes the future of embodied intelligence depends on the creativity of the entire developer ecosystem. From the very first 7-axis humanoid arm, the company has embraced an open approach. The arm is compatible with various software and hardware systems and platforms via an SDK, native ROS2 drivers, and standard open protocols (such as Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP). This openness allows developers to access advanced features and deeply customize the system, even down to the underlying impedance control parameters.
The arm adheres to safety standards such as ISO 13849 and ISO 10218, using EtherCAT for industrial real-time Ethernet communication with control cycles as low as 1 millisecond, providing the foundation for real-time decision-making in embodied intelligence.

The future is now, and Huayan Robotics will continue advancing its 7-axis humanoid arm into a truly embodied intelligent system, integrating multi-modal perception, autonomous learning, and collaborative capabilities to transform the arm from an "execution tool" to a "decision partner.
