As collaborative robots continue to reshape modern manufacturing, MBA faculty and students from Tsinghua University visited Huayan Robotics on the afternoon of November 7, 2025, for an on-site study tour focused on enterprise digital transformation and innovation. The visit aimed to give future business leaders first-hand exposure to real-world applications and emerging trends in intelligent manufacturing.

During the visit, the group toured Huayan Robotics’ exhibition hall and got a closer look at the company’s collaborative robot technologies and application scenarios. Demonstrations highlighting features such as IP68 protection, ±0.15 mm trajectory accuracy, and micron-level scanning inspection applications attracted strong interest through clear and engaging visual presentations. Applications including automated welding, high-torque screwing, intelligent grinding, teach-free spray painting, and humanoid robotics showcased Huayan Robotics’ capabilities in flexible intelligent manufacturing. The company emphasized its mission to apply robotics technology to replace humans in hazardous, highly repetitive, and labor-intensive tasks.

During the interactive session, faculty and students operated the robots themselves, experiencing their precise force control and smooth, responsive motion. The highlight of the exhibition—a therapeutic massage robot—sparked lively discussion and creative thinking. Several students noted that collaborative robots are breaking down the traditional boundaries between industrial production and commercial services. "Safe and seamless collaboration between humans and robots is becoming a key trend across the industry."

Following the exhibition tour, Guangneng Wang, Founder and Chairman of Huayan Robotics, shared insights during a discussion on the technological, organizational, and ecosystem factors shaping the development of collaborative robots. Drawing on his entrepreneurial experience, he introduced Huayan Robotics’ applications across sectors including automotive components, 3C electronics, semiconductors, food and beverage, and healthcare, highlighting how collaborative robots are driving the shift toward more flexible manufacturing models.

The Q&A session that followed covered topics such as robotics technology trends, commercialization pathways, and human–robot collaboration, with active participation from both faculty and students. The exchange reflected strong interest in the evolving role of robotics in intelligent manufacturing.
