Huayan Robotics Hosts Smart Manufacturing Innovation Ecosystem Conference to Explore the Future of Smart Manufacturing

 On August 13, Huayan Robotics, together with Siemens and SHINING 3D, hosted its first Smart Manufacturing Exchange Conference at the Han's Laser Global Intelligent Manufacturing Center in Shenzhen.

Focused on intelligent manufacturing, the event explored two key areas: the large-scale adoption of industrial AI and high-precision 3D inspection. The conference showcased innovative achievements enabled by the deep integration of collaborative robots, digital technologies, and 3D vision solutions, bringing together nearly 400 industry experts, partners, and media representatives to discuss emerging trends and accelerate collaboration across the smart manufacturing ecosystem.

The event was attended by Wang Guangneng, CEO of Huayan Robotics; Li Tao,  CEO of SHINING 3D; Hu Jianjun, VP Siemens Ltd.China & General Manager of Siemens Xcelerator China; and other industry leaders.

 

 

Partnership with Siemens: Accelerating Industrial AI Adoption Through Ecosystem Collaboration

At the opening session, Wang Guangneng, CEO of Huayan Robotics, shared the company's technology vision and ecosystem strategy, emphasizing the mission of "using robotic technologies to better serve humanity."

Hu Jianjun, VP Siemens Ltd.China & General Manager of Siemens Xcelerator China, delivered a keynote speech titled "Building an Open Ecosystem to Accelerate Digital Transformation," sharing Siemens Xcelerator's experience in connecting technologies, partners, and industries to drive digital transformation.

Weng Changwei, Director of Software Systems & Process Development at Siemens China Research Institute, introduced a new paradigm of human-robot collaboration. Through the integration of Workflow Canvas, Huayan Robotics, and AI technologies, he demonstrated how virtual simulation, digital twins, and intelligent manufacturing technologies can enhance industrial efficiency and flexibility.

Hao Yu, R&D Manager of the Embodied AI Department at Huayan Robotics, delivered a presentation titled "AI Vision-Driven Intelligent Collaborative Robots: Creating New Models for Industrial Intelligence Collaboration."

He shared Huayan Robotics' latest developments in embodied AI, highlighting how AI vision technologies can be deeply integrated with collaborative robots to enable more intelligent and adaptive industrial applications.

Dai Jin, Automotive Industry Sales Director at Huayan Robotics, shared insights into the transition from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing.

Wang Rui, Senior Sales Support Engineer at Digital Industries Division, Siemens Industry Software, discussed the integration of embodied AI and digital twin technologies.

Chen Yidong, Deputy General Manager and Chief Expert of Shenzhen ZHAOWEI Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd., shared research progress on dexterous hand technologies for embodied AI applications.

During the roundtable discussion, representatives from automotive, 3C electronics, new energy, and other industries exchanged perspectives on challenges, opportunities, and future directions for the large-scale adoption of collaborative robots and embodied AI.

 

Partnership with SHINING 3D: Advancing High-Precision 3D Inspection Solutions

 

The strategic collaboration between Huayan Robotics and SHINING 3D was another highlight of the conference.

As SHINING 3D's strategic partner in the collaborative robot field, Huayan Robotics began cooperation with SHINING 3D in 2019 to explore intelligent inspection solutions integrating 3D scanning technologies with collaborative robots. In 2021, both companies jointly launched the RobotScan Intelligent 3D Inspection System.

During the event, Wang Guangneng, CEO of Huayan Robotics, and Li Tao, Chairman and CEO of  SHINING 3D, attended the strategic partnership renewal ceremony, marking a further step in the cooperation between the two companies.

Zhao Yi, Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Management Center at Huayan Robotics, and Zhong Yaoliang from SHINING 3D delivered keynote presentations on the integration of flexible robotics and high-precision vision technologies, as well as their role in advancing smart manufacturing.

Measurement expert Li Ameng introduced professional insights into measurement classification, standards, and the service system of the Shenzhen Institute of Measurement and Quality Inspection.

During the industry application sessions, Liu Linhang, Industrial Metrology Solutions Manager at SHINING 3D, shared practical experiences in deploying automated 3D inspection solutions across different industries.

Zhang Zhendong, an expert in the mold and plastics industry, presented CAV(Computer-Aided Verification) application cases and performance improvements. Meanwhile, Ai Xiaoming, 3C Industry Sales Director at Huayan Robotics, and Dai Jin, Automotive Industry Sales Director, shared flexible automation solutions for electronics manufacturing and power battery applications.

The jointly developed collaborative robot + high-precision 3D scanning solution became one of the highlights of the event.

In automotive manufacturing, the solution enables automated dual-tracking 3D scanning inspection for large sheet metal components such as vehicle door panels.

In the 3C industry, Huayan collaborative robots equipped with SHINING 3D blue-light scanners eliminate issues such as incomplete scanning and operator fatigue, enabling fully automated and standardized 3D inspection.

In civil aviation applications, the solution can acquire complete, high-precision 3D data of aircraft blades without manual intervention, achieving non-destructive inspection within three minutes.

As a national-level manufacturing champion in 3D scanning technologies, SHINING 3D provides micron-level high-precision measurement solutions. Huayan Robotics, recognized as a national-level specialized and innovative SME and "Little Giant" enterprise in China, brings strong expertise in motion control algorithms, precision, and system reliability.

By combining robotic motion control with advanced 3D vision technologies, both companies are enabling "eye-hand integration" for collaborative robots, with proven applications across automotive manufacturing, 3C electronics, civil aviation, and other industries.

In the field of industry-education integration, Professor Cheng Lusha from Shenzhen Polytechnic University shared insights into automated inspection technologies.

Looking ahead, Huayan Robotics and SHINING 3D will continue exploring cooperation in education initiatives, including robotics skills competitions, to promote the adoption of high-precision 3D inspection technologies in vocational education.
